Shelters to Shutters Taps Jeff Goldshine to Lead Real Estate Industry Outreach

Goldshine to serve as liaison to the multifamily industry to expand partnerships and support for Shelters to Shutters’ program. 

VIENNA, Va. – September 15, 2021–Shelters to Shutters (S2S), a national non-profit that transitions individuals and families from homelessness to economic self-sufficiency through partnerships with the apartment industry, announced today that Jeff Goldshine will support the organization as Real Estate Industry Liaison.  In this role, Goldshine will be responsible for engaging the multifamily industry to grow Shelters to Shutters’ program through new operator and vendor partnerships.

Goldshine brings nearly 45 years of direct real estate industry experience including the management of over 70,000 units throughout his long career. Goldshine has been a featured speaker, moderator and panelist on property management issues including, proactive and forward-thinking management, problem solving, human resource positive communication, product management and revenue management at numerous multifamily industry conferences. He has been involved with the successful hiring of Shelters to Shutters candidates at various companies he has led and brings a unique perspective to the implementation of the program from the operator side.

S2S currently partners with over 40 apartment management companies to place people experiencing homelessness in onsite, entry-level jobs, and provide them with housing at the same communities where they work. S2S provides each participant with career mentoring and access to support services to ensure a successful long-term transition. S2S works with multiple homeless-focused non-profits to identify suitable job applicants. The program changes the lives of individuals and families while providing quality, motivated employees for a rapidly growing industry in need of talent.
