Our Model

Pathway to Economic Self-Sufficiency

  • REFER APPLICANTS

    Local Nonprofits and Training Partners
Local referring partners refer qualified individuals at risk of or experiencing situational homelessness to Entryway who are interested in pursuing positions with the apartment industry.

  • SCREEN APPLICANTS

    Entryway

Entryway screens program applicants to determine eligibility for the program.

    • Screened by the Entryway intake team
    • Background check conducted
    • Interview with the Executive Director
  • TRAIN PARTICIPANTS

    Entryway
Entryway uses a robust online program through Grace Hill, a virtual training software platform customized to provide participants during pre-employment and post-employment with technical training, soft skills, and financial literacy.

    • Begin individualized online learning pathway
    • Receive resume and interview coaching with trained Entryway volunteers
  • HIRE PARTICIPANTS

    Apartment Industry Partners
Entryway refers trained participants to our apartment industry partners across the country for employment opportunities and housing. Our industry partners interview our program participants for available positions in their communities, such as groundskeepers, maintenance techs, and leasing agents. Those participants hired through Entryway are proven to have a higher retention rate than the industry standard.

  • RETURN TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY

    Hired Participants
Hired participants are put on a pathway to economic self-sufficiency, receiving full-time employment, discounted housing, and continued career training. They cultivate a sense of pride and ownership of their future, and the Entryway team remains involved during and after the transition for a full year.

    • Paired with a trained mentor for a full year
    • Receive housewares and furniture from CORT and local partners
