Sherrice came to Entryway through our partnership with the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter in Nashville. Sherrice and her four children were living at the shelter in need of a home and stable income to sustain it. Sherrice applied to our program and began meeting with Entryway’s Nashville Executive Director, Chris Smith. She was provided with an opportunity to interview for a Groundskeeper position with Entryway’s Industry Partner, Freeman Webb. Sherrice’s positive attitude and work ethic won them over. After receiving her job offer, Sherrice and her family moved into a three bedroom apartment at the property where she was hired. The property has a playground, pool, and a community room that their family enjoys together. They are also steps from the bus stop for the kids to get to school.
We’re so proud of Sherrice for her bravery and strength to begin a new chapter for her and her kids. Congratulations, Sherrice!
