Najua is originally from Texas and moved to Georgia almost 20 years ago with her mom and siblings. Najua learned about Entryway through our referring partner in Atlanta, Goodwill Industries. Najua was enrolled in their Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAM-T) program.
When she learned Entryway assisted individuals at risk to receive full-time employment and housing within the multifamily industry, she was quick to apply. After learning she was eligible for our program, she met with April Cline, Entryway Atlanta Executive Director. April assisted Najua in securing a job as a Maintenance Tech with Entryway industry partner, ACRE.
In early September 2022, Najua celebrated her one-year hire date and graduation from the Entryway’s 12-month program. Soon after, Najua was interviewed for a promotion as a Maintenance Supervisor with another company. We are excited to share that Najua was offered the position and began her new supervisor role on September 16, 2022.
Congratulations, Najua!
“After one full year in apartment maintenance, I experienced worldwide short staff and how technicians are needed everywhere. A program like Entryway can definitely close that gap by placing ready-to-work people in those positions needed. All in all, the experience I got from the previous property with ACRE and working with Entryway has put me in the position I am in now, Maintenance Supervisor. If I can do it, so can anyone else who has a passion for helping people and working with a team. Thank you, Entryway!” -Najua
