Steven was referred to Entryway by the Rescue Outreach Mission shelter. He had past work experience in the maintenance field and after seeing a flyer at the shelter on Entryway’s program, he made the decision to go for it!
After participating in Entryway’s online training for maintenance technicians, Steven was set up for an interview with Entryway Industry Partner, Riverstone Communities. Soon after in early May of 2023, Steven received an offer as a full time Maintenance Tech at a Riverstone Communities property in Cocoa Beach, FL. He was also provided with a discounted apartment on-site where he works.
When asked about his new opportunity, Steven commented, “My favorite part about the job is working with my hands. I love to build and design. My boss and coworkers have been extremely supportive.”
Steven continued, “Having my own place has allowed my son to come home instead of facing homelessness as well. Entryway gives people the opportunity to start their life over again. It offers the opportunity to be self-sustainable. And what sold me on the idea was the opportunity of housing right where you’re working.”
When not working Steven enjoys quality sleep and watching TV in the comfort of his own place!
When asked specifically about what he is looking forward to he said, “My five-year goal is to still be here at Riverstone, the sky is the limit with this company!”
Congratulations, Steven!
