Christopher C. Finlay, Founder of Shelters to Shutters, a non-profit organization that provides housing and employment opportunities to the homeless by educating and engaging real estate/property management leaders and encouraging action within their communities, announced today that Scott Pitts has joined the organization as Case Management Director. Mr. Pitts brings to Shelters to Shutters a broad range of human services experience and a strong history of assisting homeless individuals throughout his career.

We are excited to work with him as he brings the work of Shelters to Shutters to a new and exciting level.”
Prior to joining Shelters to Shutters, Mr. Pitts served as the Coordinator of the Fairfax-Falls Church Housing Locator Network, one of the largest housing networks for homeless in the country. Under his tutelage, the program became the first nationally certified rapid re-housing program by the National Alliance to End Homelessness. He has also participated in the Virginia State Housing Commission Subgroup and the Fairfax County Emergency Shelter Re-design Task Force. Mr. Pitts received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University and obtained a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University.
