Mandy Porter-Griffith Named Entryway Greater Phoenix Executive Director

VIENNA, Va. – December 6, 2023 – Entryway, a national non-profit that transitions individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness to economic self-sufficiency announced today that Mandy Porter-Griffith has been named as Executive Director for the Greater Phoenix area and will start with the organization on January 2, 2024. In her role, Mandy will work directly with the Phoenix City Advisory Board to grow the program footprint to assist more individuals and families and provide trained talent to our network of multifamily industry partners.

Mandy spent the past 12 years working with various non-profits in anti-human trafficking and the homelessness and housing sector.  This includes serving as the Director of both an emergency shelter and a transitional housing shelter in Phoenix, AZ. As a participant in the Coordinated Entry system, she engaged with the Maricopa Association of Government’s Continuum of Care to address homelessness and the inequities surrounding housing in Arizona. Mandy specializes in leadership development, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed strategic planning, workforce development, and community engagement.

“It is an honor to join the Entryway team in Phoenix. I have worked in the housing and homelessness sector for over 10 years and look forward to utilizing Entryway’s unique and proven model of ending situational homelessness. Entryway’s expertise in workforce development is just what Greater Phoenix needs to stop the growing number of housing-insecure families. It is powerful to see Entryway equipping people to end their short-term struggle with homelessness before it moves to chronic or generational,” commented Mandy.

Entryway partners with over 70 apartment management companies, such as Greystar, Cardinal Group, Olympus Property Management, and The Wolff Company to support people experiencing situational homelessness with career training and opportunities for full time entry-level jobs with discounted housing. Entryway provides each participant with ongoing training, mentoring and access to support services to ensure a successful long-term transition. Entryway works with multiple referring partners to identify program applicants such as workforce development programs, non-profits and technical schools. The program changes the lives of individuals and families while providing quality, motivated employees for a rapidly growing industry in need of talent.

“Mandy’s experience in the housing sector coupled with her years of commitment serving those in her community will be an incredible asset to our Greater Phoenix program. We have big goals for increasing our long-term impact within the Greater Phoenix area, and I look forward to having Mandy’s leadership as we build on the partnerships and support already in place,” said David Williams, President & CEO, Entryway.
