VIENNA, Va. – September 7, 2022 – Shelters to Shutters (S2S), a national non-profit that transitions individuals and families from situational homelessness to economic self-sufficiency, today announced a partnership with ALN Apartment Data, the largest collector of apartment data in the United States. ALN’s extensive up to date research and technology provides multifamily professionals the tools they need to make decisions and stay competitive. Access to ALN’s database programs will be provided to Shelters to Shutters to assist the growth of their footprint within the multifamily industry as they aim to partner with more property management companies to transition individuals and their families out of homelessness.
“Shelters to Shutters is a natural partnership that aligns with our company’s values to give back to individuals in local communities where our staff and clients work. Organizations like Shelters to Shutters are providing a collective impact in helping people who have lost their homes and income through life-altering events. We’re proud to support their work of giving individuals and families hope, employment and a long-term solution,” said Laura Williams, ALN Executive Vice President.
S2S partners with over 35 apartment owners and operators across Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Houston, Nashville, National Capital Region, Orlando and Phoenix to place people at-risk or experiencing homelessness in onsite, entry-level jobs, and provide them with housing at the same communities where they work. S2S provides each participant with career mentoring, technical training, financial literacy and access to support services to ensure a successful long-term transition. S2S works with multiple referring partners including non-profits, workforce development programs and technical schools to identify suitable job applicants. The program changes the lives of individuals and families while providing quality, motivated employees for a rapidly growing industry in need of talent.
“Being able to leverage ALN’s extensive research, data and years of knowledge within the industry will be a game changer for our local Executive Directors and National Program Team as we look to grow our operations and improve our communication and awareness within the industry,” commented David Williams, President & CEO, Shelters to Shutters. “We are incredibly grateful ALN sees the importance and value of our work and has joined as a national partner.”
