For nearly two years, Trisha and her oldest son were living in their car while her two younger children stayed with their father. Separated from her family and without stable income, Trisha needed a path to both employment and housing—so her children could finally come home.
That path began when she learned about Entryway through her son’s school guidance counselor. Trisha connected with Entryway Arizona Executive Director Mandy Porter-Griffith and enrolled in Entryway’s leasing agent training program, receiving resume support, interview coaching, professional clothing, and one-on-one guidance. During this time, Entryway helped Trisha and her son secure temporary shelter while she pursued employment.
Through Entryway, Trisha secured a full-time leasing agent position that provided both a living wage and an apartment on site where she works. Entryway partner CORT Furniture furnished the apartment and provided essential housewares, helping Trisha and her family settle into their new home.
Most importantly, Trisha’s family is reunited. After two years apart, all three of her children are now living with her. With stability restored, her oldest son, Kash, was able to graduate from high school and is now employed as well.
Today, Trisha is celebrating one year in her home, one year with her employer, and graduation from Entryway’s program—a powerful example of how employment, housing, and support can change the trajectory of an entire family.
