Human Impact

After suddenly losing her housing and being separated from her children, Chandra came to Entryway determined to rebuild her life. She completed Entryway’s training program, attended Uplevel Leasing by Business Observations, and persisted through multiple interviews until PB Bell hired her for a temp-to-hire role.

A few weeks later, she moved into her own apartment, furnished with the help of donors and community partners. Today, she is thriving in a career she loves and providing stability for her family.

Stories like Chandra’s are made possible through community support.

A Dollar-for-Dollar Credit on Your Arizona State Taxes

Arizona allows residents to make a donation to a Qualifying Charitable Organization and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against their state income taxes. This means every dollar you give reduces what you owe to the state by the same amount, up to the annual limits.

Three-Step Process:

  1. Make your tax credit donation to Entryway Arizona.
  2. Receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against your Arizona state income tax when you file.
  3. File Arizona Form 321 and include Entryway’s QCO code: 22711.

This is one of the few opportunities in charitable giving where you can support a mission you care about without increasing your out-of-pocket expenses.

Contribution Limits and Deadlines

Arizona allows contributions made by April 15 to count toward the prior tax year. Contribution limits for Qualifying Charitable Organizations are set annually by the Arizona Department of Revenue.

Current limits are up to:

  • $495 for single filers
  • $987 for married filing jointly

The state of Arizona provides a tax credit of up to $495 (single) or $987 (married filing jointly) when you donate to a Qualifying Charitable Organization, such as Entryway. This tax credit will go towards reducing the amount of state tax due.
For example, a contribution of $1 will reduce your tax by $1.
