VIENNA, Va. – July 25, 2022 – Shelters to Shutters (S2S) is pleased to welcome Christy McFerren to its National Board of Directors. Christy is the President of Catalyst Marketing, a division of Campus Advantage and a full-service marketing agency specializing in student housing, multifamily, and senior living.
In addition to serving as the head of Catalyst Marketing, Christy is on the Executive Leadership Team of Campus Advantage. Her single focus from all perspectives is on driving value for her clients’ owned and managed assets through innovative, results-oriented marketing. With more than two decades of experience as a marketing strategist, creative thinker, and people leader, Christy drives Catalyst forward as a team unified by one mission: to create and promote brands that foster community and add value to people’s lives. During her time at Catalyst, the agency has been recognized for its marketing effectiveness by industry wins from The Communicator Awards, W3 Awards, IAC, and more.

S2S partners with over 35 apartment owners and operators across Atlanta, Charleston, Charlotte, Houston, Nashville, National Capital Region, Orlando and Phoenix to place people experiencing homelessness in onsite, entry-level jobs, and provide them with housing at the same communities where they work. S2S provides each participant with career mentoring, technical training, financial literacy and access to support services to ensure a successful long-term transition. S2S works with multiple referring partners to identify suitable job applicants. The program changes the lives of individuals and families while providing quality, motivated employees for a rapidly growing industry in need of talent.
