Entryway Receives $50,000 Community Development Grant from First Citizens Bank to Support Programs in the Carolinas

Entryway is proud to announce a $50,000 community development grant from First Citizens Bank to support its programs in South Carolina and North Carolina, helping individuals and families transition from housing instability to long-term self-sufficiency.

This generous investment will expand access to Entryway’s proven model, which connects participants not only to stable employment and affordable housing, but to career pathways within the real estate industry that offer long-term growth and upward mobility.

“Our program is about more than a job — it’s about opening doors to a career and a future,” said David Williams, Entryway President & CEO. “With support from First Citizens Bank, we’re helping individuals gain the tools and support they need to rebuild their lives and achieve economic independence.”

Nearly half of those served by Entryway are parents, meaning this grant will also impact children who benefit from the stability, safety, and opportunity that come when a family is lifted into permanent housing and a sustainable career path.

“First Citizens Bank is steadfast in our commitment to build lasting financial security and long-term stability in the communities where we live and work,” said Mike Atkinson, Senior Director of Community Affairs at First Citizens. “We are thrilled to support Entryway and join its efforts to promote economic self-sufficiency in the Carolinas.”

First Citizens Bank’s investment reflects a shared commitment to economic empowerment and community development across the Carolinas.
