Entryway Welcomes Mia Bendixsen as Central Texas Executive Director

Entryway is pleased to announce that Mia Bendixsen has joined our team as the new Executive Director for Central Texas. Mia brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the non-profit sector, with a proven record in fundraising, strategic management, and community engagement.

Her career includes senior roles with nationally recognized organizations, including serving as Director of Development for the Boy Scouts Cradle of Liberty Council in Philadelphia, Director of Philanthropy for the Humane Society of the United States for New England, and Executive Director of the American Red Cross Texas Gulf Coast Region. In that role, she led the Coastal Plains Chapter, serving over 2.5 million residents across seven counties surrounding Houston.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mia has served on boards for organizations focused on women’s issues and animal advocacy. She holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, a B.A. in Film and Television Production from Loyola Marymount University, and attended the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management.

Mia resides in Austin with her fiancée and two dogs. An avid hiker, dog rescuer, and traveler, she is passionate about making a lasting impact in the communities she serves. We are excited to welcome her leadership, expertise, and dedication to advancing Entryway’s mission in Central Texas.
