VIENNA, VA — July 8, 2026 — Entryway, the national nonprofit that partners with the multifamily real estate industry to provide career training, employment, and housing opportunities to individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness, today announced Melanie French, CEO of RR Living, as its new board chair, with Doug Bibby, former President of the National Multifamily Housing Council, joining as vice chair. The appointments follow founder Chris Finlay’s transition out of the chairmanship after 12 years leading the organization.

French and Bibby step into their roles at a moment of significant momentum for Entryway. What began as a pilot program at Middleburg has grown into a nationwide movement supported by more than 100 apartment industry companies, serving more than 2,800 individuals and families while expanding to 11 markets nationwide. Each hired participant generates nearly $100,000 in total economic impact for themselves and their communities.

“Entryway represents the very best of what our industry can accomplish when purpose and business come together,” commented French. “I believe we have an incredible opportunity to become the nation’s premier workforce partner for multifamily housing, connecting motivated talent with rewarding careers while helping companies build stronger teams. I’m honored to serve as Board Chair as we continue expanding our impact across the country.”

Bibby, who brings decades of multifamily industry leadership to the role, echoed that sense of momentum. “I’ve always admired that Entryway provides a tangible solution for people working to rebuild their lives, and the fact that it does so through my beloved multifamily industry makes it even more meaningful. Chris Finlay created an organization that delivers lasting impact, and I’m honored to serve alongside this leadership team as we continue growing its reach and creating opportunities for more people and more industry partners.”

French brings more than 30 years of multifamily operations and talent leadership experience, including a senior executive role at Cortland where she led Property Management scaling the portfolio from 9,000 to more than 50,000 units. She also served in senior executive roles at AIMCO, and DLP Capital, and has served as Chair of the Finance Committee for Entryway’s national board. She was named a 2026 GlobeSt. Women of Influence honoree. Bibby previously served as President of the National Multifamily Housing Council for over twenty years, where he was a leading and influential voice for the multifamily industry across the country.

Entryway also welcomes Ali Edelstein, SVP of People & Culture at Middleburg, to its national board of directors, reflecting Middleburg’s continued commitment to advancing Entryway’s mission and supporting its long-term growth.

Entryway will continue to be led by President & CEO David Williams, who will work closely with the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s national growth strategy and expand its impact across the country.
